Terms of Service

Effective date: 6 April 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Viewinger (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Viewinger.
2. Description of Service
Viewinger is a marketplace that connects people who have received an invitation to a property viewing but are unable to attend in person ("Posters") with independent local individuals who attend viewings on their behalf and deliver structured reports ("Viewers"). Posters are typically property seekers — including students, remote buyers, expats, or anyone who cannot be physically present at a scheduled viewing. Viewers are independent individuals who travel to the property, attend the viewing, and provide photo and video documentation as agreed. Viewinger is not a party to any agreement between Posters and Viewers and does not guarantee the quality, accuracy, safety, or outcome of any viewing or report.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract. By using the Platform you represent that you meet these requirements. Viewer access is invite-only — you must receive and redeem a valid invite link before you can accept missions. Viewinger reserves the right to decline any application without explanation.
4. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate information during registration, including your real first and last name, a valid email address, and a phone number. Notify us immediately at viewingerapp@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised use. Accounts must not be shared with or transferred to another person.
5. Payments and Fees
When a Poster accepts a Viewer's application, they are charged the agreed viewing fee plus a 10% platform service fee on top. Payment is collected immediately and held in escrow by Stripe until the viewing is confirmed complete. Upon confirmation, the Viewer receives the agreed fee minus a 10% platform service fee, transferred to their connected bank account via Stripe Connect. The platform's total revenue is therefore 20% of the agreed price — 10% charged to the Poster on top of the agreed fee, and 10% deducted from the Viewer's payout. All payments are processed by Stripe and are in EUR. Platform fees are non-refundable once a payout has been released, except where required by applicable law.
6. Escrow and Payout
Funds paid by the Poster are held in escrow by Stripe and are not released to the Viewer until: (a) the Viewer has submitted proof of the completed viewing (photos, videos, and/or other deliverables agreed upon); and (b) the Poster has confirmed the proof as satisfactory, or the automatic confirmation period has elapsed. If the Viewer has not yet completed Stripe Connect onboarding, funds are held securely until they do so. Viewinger reserves the right to withhold or reverse a payout where fraud or a breach of these Terms is suspected.
7. Cancellations and Refunds
Poster cancellations: Posters may cancel a mission before payment is made at no cost. Once payment has been collected and held in escrow, the following rules apply based on how much time remains before the scheduled viewing:
  • 24 hours or more before the viewing: Full refund of the total amount paid, including the platform fee.
  • 6 to 24 hours before the viewing: Partial refund — the agreed viewing fee is returned but the platform service fee is retained.
  • Less than 6 hours before the viewing: No refund. The Viewer has likely already prepared or is en route.
Refunds are processed to the original payment method and may take 5–10 business days to appear depending on your bank.

Viewer cancellations: A Viewer may cancel an accepted mission at any time before the scheduled viewing, in which case a full refund is issued to the Poster. However, Viewers who accumulate 3 or more combined cancellations and/or no-show strikes within a rolling 30-day window will have their account automatically suspended for 14 days. Cancellation and no-show counts are visible on a Viewer's public profile.

Rescheduling: A Poster may request a new date and time for an existing mission at any time, provided: (a) the proposed time is at least 12 hours from now; and (b) the proposed time is later than the currently scheduled time. A mission cannot be rescheduled within 6 hours of the current scheduled viewing. If the original viewing date passes while a reschedule is pending and unresolved, the mission is automatically cancelled and a full refund is issued to the Poster.
8. Proof Submission and No-Show Policy
After completing a viewing, the Viewer must submit proof through the Platform within 7 days of the scheduled viewing date. Proof consists of responses to each deliverable specified by the Poster (e.g. photos, video, written notes). Automated reminders are sent approximately 45 minutes before the viewing, again shortly after the scheduled end time, and again after 24 hours if proof has not yet been submitted.

No-show policy: If a Viewer fails to submit any proof within 7 days of the scheduled viewing date, the Platform will automatically:
  • Mark the booking as a no-show;
  • Issue a full refund of the total amount paid (including fees) to the Poster's original payment method;
  • Add a no-show strike to the Viewer's account (counted alongside cancellation strikes);
  • Cancel the mission permanently — the Viewer's payment for that mission is forfeited.
This process is fully automated and runs without requiring any action from the Poster. Refunds are processed to the original payment method and may take 5–10 business days to appear depending on the bank.
9. Disputes and Auto-Confirmation
Once the Viewer submits proof, the Poster must review and either confirm or dispute it. If the Poster disputes the proof, the booking enters a review period during which the Viewer may submit revised or additional proof. If the dispute is not resolved within 3 days, the booking is automatically closed and the Viewer's payout is released, regardless of the outstanding dispute.

Dispute escalation: If a booking reaches 3 dispute rounds without resolution, further disputing is frozen and the case is automatically escalated to Viewinger for manual review. Both parties are notified. Viewinger will review the submitted proof and issue a binding decision — either releasing payment to the Viewer or issuing a refund to the Poster. This decision is final. Viewinger aims to resolve escalated disputes within 5 business days.
10. Viewer Obligations
By accepting a mission, Viewers agree to: (a) have a connected payout account (Stripe Connect) before applying to any mission — applications are blocked without one; (b) attend the property viewing in person at the agreed time; (c) provide an honest, accurate, and thorough report including all deliverables agreed with the Poster; (d) submit proof within 7 days of the scheduled viewing date; (e) not misrepresent the condition of the property or fabricate any part of their report; (f) maintain a reliable cancellation and attendance record — repeated cancellations or no-shows may result in suspension. Failure to submit proof within 7 days will trigger the automatic no-show policy described in §8, including a full refund to the Poster and forfeiture of the Viewer's payment. Failure to meet these obligations more broadly may result in account suspension, permanent removal from the platform, and forfeiture of payment.
11. Poster Obligations
Posters agree to: (a) provide accurate details about the viewing invitation, including address, date, and time; (b) communicate clearly with the Viewer about specific requirements before the viewing; (c) review submitted proof promptly and in good faith; (d) raise any genuine concerns through the dispute process rather than withholding confirmation unreasonably; (e) not cancel missions repeatedly or in bad faith — poster cancellation counts on paid missions are tracked and visible on their profile.
12. Reviews
After a mission is completed, both the Poster and the Viewer may leave a review for the other party. Reviews are visible on public profiles. You may leave one review per completed mission per side. You agree not to submit false, misleading, or retaliatory reviews. Viewinger reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these Terms.
13. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to: (a) use the Platform for any unlawful purpose; (b) circumvent platform fees by arranging off-platform payments; (c) harass, threaten, or harm other users; (d) submit false information or impersonate another person; (e) attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems; (f) submit false, misleading, or fabricated viewing reports or proof materials; (g) attend a property without genuine intention to provide an accurate and complete report; (h) share, sell, or transfer your invite link or account to another person.
14. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by or licensed to Viewinger. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent. By submitting proof materials (photos, videos, written notes) through the Platform, you grant Viewinger a limited licence to store and display those materials solely for the purpose of operating the Platform. Proof materials are automatically removed from storage after the booking is closed.
15. Suspension and Termination
Viewinger may suspend or terminate your account at any time for breach of these Terms, repeated cancellations, no-shows, fraudulent behaviour, or any conduct that harms the Platform or its users. Viewers who accumulate 3 or more cancellations within 30 days are automatically suspended for 14 days. No-show strikes (issued under §8) count alongside cancellation strikes for the purposes of this threshold. Upon termination, any pending payouts may be forfeited depending on the circumstances. You may request account deletion at any time by contacting us.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Viewinger shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to: decisions made based on a Viewer's report, property purchases or missed opportunities, or the conduct of any user. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
17. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Viewinger and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform or breach of these Terms.
18. Modifications
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email where possible.
19. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Amsterdam.
